Concussions: Common and Complex

Each year our physicians see scores of children with concussions. Parents and coaches recognize these more often than in the past and seek medical attention sooner. This results in more appropriate treatment and better outcomes.  

However, many lay people and quite a few medical providers still have a lot of questions about this injury. What is a concussion? How do I know if my child has had one?
