Free Car Seat Checks!

Nine out of ten car seats are installed incorrectly, decreasing their chances of effectively protecting children. The City of Bloomington and the Town of Normal want to help you install your child's car seat correctly.  They offer free car seat checks at the Normal Fire Station #3 and the Bloomington Fire Station #1 by appointment.  

Call 309-828-1892 to make an appointment. This is a very popular service so the wait for an appointment may be 4-6 weeks. Please bring the car seat(s) to be checked, the child(ren) who will be riding in them, the vehicle owner's manual and the car seat instruction booklet if possible.
